Our mantra is “gotta to see it, to believe it”. For the communities we serve, exposure and access are keen. Most residents in frontline areas, particularly demographics considered at highest risk, are not even aware of climate resilience’s meaning and resources. The first thing is to open their eyes and ears and expose them to experts, places, sources and experiences that they do not have access to in their everyday lives. We also want to build a community of climate resilience through technology and gaming to empower people to develop agency, resilience and continuous learning. Eventually, we could have a pipeline of talent in the industry as well as entrepreneurs that can break the cycles of intergenerational poverty.

The Deep Data Detectives (D3) Initiative grew out of a pressing question in our minds: Do we go back to business as usual?

​We know the rise of AI is undergoing a transformative moment in human history, and yet we cannot ignore the valid concerns about the impact AI could have in society. Job losses and a number of social and economic pressures weigh heavily in people's minds that do not benefit from technology and are vulnerable to the impact of climate hazards expunging communities. It is important we take action to scale the benefits of technology and include those who need it the most.

COVID-19 has ushered that moment’s pause across business, personal, and geographic borders, providing a once-in-a-millennium opportunity. Questions we didn’t know we had are now requiring answers. Questions we knew we had are also demanding answers. Ultimately, we believe that the silver lining will be defined in how well we choose the right responses versus the profitable responses.
