During a 10- week Internship, participants volunteer 15 hours a week. They are assigned to a real-world project and a mentor. At the end of the volunteer period, participants are admitted in the “Dollars for Hours” Program for job placement with NxtWave, its charitable initiatives, affiliates and partners. Eligible participants are qualified against the following score-card components:

Commitment: Contribute consistently a total of 150 volunteer hours in 10 weeks.
Accountability: Complete assignments in a timely fashion, ethically and with the highest levels of quality.
Creativity: Demonstrate resourcefulness and initiative using their creativity and judgement consistently.
Discipline: Attend business and team meetings, exhibits punctuality and reports on weekly tasks. Give notice of delays or absenteeism in advance to the project stakeholders.
Communication: Maintain proper, respectful and cordial communication with the project stakeholders.
Passion: Demonstrate enthusiasm and support for project’ purpose and mission.
Confidentiality: Other than public information, maintain project documentation current, keep use of project's tools and resources confidential.

Requirements:

At least 2 years of related working experience.
Bachelors Degree from an accredited school. Masters preferred.
Must be able to read, write and speak English proficiently.
Must be able to commit to a minimum of 150 hours in 10 consecutive weeks and willing and able to work with a mentor and a project owner professionally.
